Thomas has been married to the love of his life, Robin, for the past six years.  They have a two year old son, Dane, and are expecting another son in March.

    Robin graduated from Comanche High School in 1991 and then went on to get her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Counseling from Texas Woman's University in Denton.  Upon completion of her graduate degree, she worked for ten years combined as a counselor for the University of North Texas then North Central Texas College in Bowie.  Recently, she made the transition to stay at home with Dane and is beginning a private educational consulting business.   
    
    Thomas' mother, Susan Metcalf, is the PEIMS clerk at Bowie High School and is part-time administrator for TK Ranch.  TK Ranch is a home for mentally challenged adults outside of Bowie, Texas.  Thomas' in-laws, Kenneth and Gay Henry, reside in Proctor, Texas, and run a successful cattle business.
